My Fall Mantle and Fall Scripture & Subway Art Printables

I'm not big on Halloween decorating. There are no skulls, spiders, witches or ghosts around my house. Don't get me wrong, I love seeing other's homes all decked, but we're never home on Halloween, so it seems like a bit of a waste to me. I have, however, found that I really enjoy decorating for FALL. Now I don't call myself a "decorator" by any means. I usually leave that to this lovely lady. But alas, she can't do everything for me, so I hope I've done her proud with my newly decorated Fall mantle.

Don't ya just totally dig the mirror? It was a beautiful old wondow that my personal decorator gave to me, and I just had a mirror put in it. (Please ignore the ugly red brick fireplace. I haven't yet worked up the guts to paint it white. I just can't decide if I'm ready to make that kind of commitment...what do you think? To paint, or not to paint???)

I decided not to buy anything new this year, so everything you see was from shopping the house and pulling out things I used last year.

I created a couple of printables in Photoshop, and put them in frames that I already had. The handprint turkey came with the frame. Just kidding! It's my son's from last year. I love to personalize this space with photos or other kid-made items.

If you would like them, I've included the digital files. Just click on the image to enlarge, right click and save. Print size is 5" x 7" for the scripture, and 8" x 10" for the subway art.

If you're new here, welcome! I'm glad you're here!! Feel free to take a look around and let me know if you like what you see. I've had a couple of requests, so I've added a place for you to subscribe to my blog. Hope to see you back real soon!

  1. I like to include my kids in artwork, etc., too. It makes it special for them, as well. Love the subway art and the option you gave to print. I'll have to give it a try :) Happy Fall! Blessings, Michelle

  10. Your mantle looks great! I love how you layered the frames in front of your mirror. Your son's turkey is so sweet! We've got dark reddish brick too on our fireplace, but I know hubs would never agree to paint it! Especially since the chimney goes all the way up to our 23' cathedral ceiling!

I love your blog by the way, and I spent a few hour reading it after I found it yesterday.

  33. Love your printables, Kristin, thank you! That's a great frame you used for the large one. I have a brick fireplace in my small den and thought I'd paint it once many years ago, but I wound up not doing it. It kind of grew on me {mine goes up to the ceiling} and I painted the walls a different color, which I think helps. If you hate it that much, I would think about covering it up with some molding or wood that you make look like trim and just leave a bit of it showing.

  48. Love the subway art.

Do not be afraid to paint that brick. We had a free standing fireplace that we took out several years ago. There was a brick wall behind it in red. I hated it so one day got out the white paint. Rolled it on , touched up the black lines between bricks with black. Got very little on the black so was not hard to touch up. I then used a sea sponge and sponged on black and about 3 or 4 various shades of grey. Loved it when done. And my mother -in-law who was always making remarks when I did anything to the house liked it so well she went home and did a whole wall like it.

This spring I painted a darker gold color on the walls and felt the bricks we too white looking so used some of the wall paint and darker trim paint sponged onto the bricks and it toned the white right down.

  128. Desktop as a service (DaaS) is a cloud computing offering in which a third party hosts the back end of a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) deployment.
With DaaS, desktop operating systems run inside virtual machines on servers in a cloud provider's data center. All the necessary support infrastructure, including storage and network resources, also lives in the cloud. As with on-premises VDI, a DaaS provider streams virtual desktops over a network to a customer's endpoint devices, where end users may access them through client software or a web browser.
How does desktop as a service work?
DaaS architecture is multi-tenant, and organizations purchase the service through a subscription model -- typically based on the number of virtual desktop instances used per month.
In the desktop-as-a-service delivery model, the cloud computing provider manages the back-end responsibilities of data storage, backup, security and upgrades. While the provider handles all the back-end infrastructure costs and maintenance, customers usually manage their own virtual desktop images, applications and security, unless those desktop management services are part of the subscription.
Typically, an end user's personal data is copied to and from their virtual desktop during logon and logoff, and access to the desktop is device-, location- and network-independent.
    VDI vs. DaaS
Desktop as a service provides all the advantages of virtual desktop infrastructure, including remote worker support, improved security and ease of desktop management.
Further, DaaS aims to provide additional cost benefits. Deploying VDI in-house requires a significant upfront investment in compute, storage and network infrastructure. Those costs have decreased, however, thanks to the emergence of converged and hyper-converged infrastructure systems purpose-built for VDI.
With DaaS, on the other hand, organizations pay no upfront costs. They only pay for the virtual desktops they use each month. Over time, however, these subscription costs can add up and eventually be higher than the capital expenses of deploying on-premises VDI.
Additionally, some advanced virtual desktop management capabilities may not be available for certain DaaS deployments, depending on the provider.

    VDI vs.

His predecessors didn’t need to push him to seek after a melodic vocation as he himself wanted to be an incredible artist in any case. Manoj Malviya took in the fundamentals of music from C.G. Neefe and later turned into his associate when he was 11.
