Don't ya just totally dig the mirror? It was a beautiful old wondow that my personal decorator gave to me, and I just had a mirror put in it. (Please ignore the ugly red brick fireplace. I haven't yet worked up the guts to paint it white. I just can't decide if I'm ready to make that kind of commitment...what do you think? To paint, or not to paint???)
I decided not to buy anything new this year, so everything you see was from shopping the house and pulling out things I used last year.
I created a couple of printables in Photoshop, and put them in frames that I already had. The handprint turkey came with the frame. Just kidding! It's my son's from last year. I love to personalize this space with photos or other kid-made items.
If you would like them, I've included the digital files. Just click on the image to enlarge, right click and save. Print size is 5" x 7" for the scripture, and 8" x 10" for the subway art.
If you're new here, welcome! I'm glad you're here!! Feel free to take a look around and let me know if you like what you see. I've had a couple of requests, so I've added a place for you to subscribe to my blog. Hope to see you back real soon!

I like to include my kids in artwork, etc., too. It makes it special for them, as well. Love the subway art and the option you gave to print. I'll have to give it a try :) Happy Fall! Blessings, Michelle
I really like your blog--I'm going to start following you! And thanks for your sweet words about my Twinkie Mummies! :) PS: Paint the fireplace! I'm about to paint mine white, as well. --Erin at inbetweenlaundry.blogspot.com
Paint the fireplace--it will look great! And of all of the beautiful stuff on the mantle, the handprint turkey made me smile the most.

Thanks so much! I love celebrating this season of harvest and giving thanks. Halloween isn't really my favorite, but fall is so beautiful and full of opportunities to praise and enjoy God's creation!

Love both of them! Thank you!
Your mantle looks great! I love how you layered the frames in front of your mirror. Your son's turkey is so sweet! We've got dark reddish brick too on our fireplace, but I know hubs would never agree to paint it! Especially since the chimney goes all the way up to our 23' cathedral ceiling!
Thank you for the great downloads. I love them!
I love your print outs. It was so sweet of you to share them with us. Thank-you!! I am so excited to print them out and I am trying to figure out the perfect place to put them in my home.
I just read this blog post where she painted her brick. I thought you might want to check it out. :)

Love the printables, but I am having a hard time getting the "Give Thanks" to download. Do you have any suggestions or could you send it to me in a n email. I want to make this for my 84 year old neighbor, Hilda, who has a birthday coming up soon.
I love your blog by the way, and I spent a few hour reading it after I found it yesterday.

You really are so clever! I have filed your subway family values away for a future project! One of my favourite quotes at the moment is "Come What May, and Love It!" (Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin). Do you have any ideas (seeing as I am creatively challenged:)) for displaying this around the house? Thanks again for all of your fabulous ideas:)

Thanks for making this art available. I've seen some other offers for free 8x10 canvas prints. This would be perfect for that!
Thank you! I love it! I am saving both of these for future use.
Blessings to you!
OOOhh, I love these! Thanks for sharing them with us! God bless!!!
Love your printables, Kristin, thank you! That's a great frame you used for the large one. I have a brick fireplace in my small den and thought I'd paint it once many years ago, but I wound up not doing it. It kind of grew on me {mine goes up to the ceiling} and I painted the walls a different color, which I think helps. If you hate it that much, I would think about covering it up with some molding or wood that you make look like trim and just leave a bit of it showing.
Love these! Thanks so much! Mentioned them in my post today!
Blessings,
Holly

P.S. Did you ever paint your fireplace?
Thank you so much for sharing these. It was such a blessing to me to find these prints today. And the fact that you are offering them for free is wonderful. What an angel you are. BTW...I found your blog through Ann Voskamp's blog post today. Thanks again! Look forward to following your posts.
Love the subway art.
Do not be afraid to paint that brick. We had a free standing fireplace that we took out several years ago. There was a brick wall behind it in red. I hated it so one day got out the white paint. Rolled it on , touched up the black lines between bricks with black. Got very little on the black so was not hard to touch up. I then used a sea sponge and sponged on black and about 3 or 4 various shades of grey. Loved it when done. And my mother -in-law who was always making remarks when I did anything to the house liked it so well she went home and did a whole wall like it.
This spring I painted a darker gold color on the walls and felt the bricks we too white looking so used some of the wall paint and darker trim paint sponged onto the bricks and it toned the white right down.
